Heather’s style is humorous, open-minded, and down to earth

Living with OCD can often feel impossible: the constant second guessing, the self-doubt, the never ending "what ifs." It takes up hours of your day and robs you of your mental and physical energy. How do I know? I've dealt with it myself for years.

I know firsthand what it's like to feel at war with your own mind, not being able to trust yourself or your intuition. I now help my clients overcome those same challenges. OCD is often accompanied by trauma and other forms of anxiety, which is why I specialize in treating the cross section between them.

Sessions with me include lots of laughs, occasional tears, and plenty of moments of genuine, human connection. I want you to get the best results possible and will keep you accountable in working towards your goals, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room in our sessions to talk about your favorite TV show or something that came up on your FYP.

I’ve been through the trenches myself and I get it. In my office, you’ll never be judged. Show up with sweatpants, day old mascara, and your deepest, darkest inner thoughts, we’ll sort through it all together over a cup of tea and some good fidget toys.

I use the following types of therapy to help you achieve your goals:

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

Brainspotting (BSP)

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
