do you take insurance?
Yes! We will verify your insurance prior to the start of your first session. Insurance benefits vary from one plan to another, but in general we are able to accept the following:
Aetna
Anthem Blue Cross
Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal
Optum
Western Health Advantage
United Healthcare
Sutter Health Plus/Sutter Select
UMR
If you have a PPO plan not listed above, you likely have Out-of-Network benefits that you can use to get reimbursed for part of your session fee. We’re happy to assist you in figuring out what your benefits are and how you can use them to make therapy more accessible. Click here for an overview of Out-of-Network benefits.
Please note that not all therapists take every insurance. Please inquire for more information.
what is your cancellation policy?
Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will incur a $25 fee.
Will I be provided with a Good Faith Estimate?
Yes. If you are paying out of pocket you will be provided with what is known as a Good Faith Estimate, which outlines your estimated cost of services. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 higher than your estimate, you have the right to dispute it. As your therapy journey progresses, your Good Faith Estimate may be updated and you will be provided with a copy of the revised estimate. Those using insurance to pay for sessions will not be given a Good Faith Estimate. If you plan to use insurance and have questions about your copay or other costs, please ask us prior to the start of your first session.
do you offer both in-person and telehealth?
Yes! We’re proud to offer in-person sessions for those in the greater Sacramento area. We intentionally designed our office to be a comfortable and relaxing space that you can look forward to visiting at each appointment. For those who prefer to do sessions virtually, we are able to offer telehealth appointments to clients anywhere in California. Please note that you must be physically located within California at the time of your appointment.
What can i expect from working with evoluer therapists?
Our therapists are warm, compassionate, and highly trained in the work we do. We know that you may be reaching out to try therapy for the first time, or looking for something new after not seeing much progress in your previous therapy. Either way, we’re always happy to meet you where you’re at and learn more about how we can best help you achieve the life you’ve always dreamed of. how do i know if we’re going to be a good fit?
Do you like having an unconditionally supportive and empathic mental health professional in your corner? Great! Then our therapists will probably be a good fit. Also, we offer a free 15-minute phone consultation where we can discuss your goals and you can ask us any questions that will help you determine for yourself whether you would work well with one of our therapists.
